Sydney Sweeney’s reported comment that she “doesn’t get nervous” filming nude scenes comes from a 2025 W Magazine interview, according to Marie Claire UK. In that account, she linked her confidence to the self-awareness she gained while working on Euphoria. The original W interview is not independently available here, so the remark should be understood in the context reported by Marie Claire—not as proof that she never feels nervous during intimate scenes.

What Sydney Sweeney reportedly said about nude scenes

Marie Claire UK’s 2025 report attributes “I don’t get nervous” to Sweeney’s W Magazine interview and places the comment in the context of filming nude scenes. The report also says she connected that confidence with greater self-awareness developed while working on Euphoria. Because the original W page was not independently retrieved, the wording and context here follow Marie Claire’s account rather than a checked transcript.

The distinction matters: the headline phrase “sex scenes” is broader than the reported interview’s reference to nude scenes. Nudity, simulated sex and other intimate scenes are not interchangeable terms, and the comment should not be expanded beyond the context in which it was reported.

She has also described feeling nervous about a specific scene

In 2022, ELLE Australia reported that Sweeney identified the season-one carousel scene in Euphoria as one that made her nervous. That recollection does not contradict the later remark: comfort can vary from scene to scene, and confidence about nude scenes in one context does not mean a person never experiences nerves.

Confidence does not mean giving up agency

Sweeney has also spoken about asking for changes to scenes. Vanity Fair reported in 2022 that she said she asked creator Sam Levinson to cut some nude scenes and that he agreed. The same report said she did not feel pressured by him to perform them.

That account is about her experience on Euphoria; it does not establish how requests are handled on every production. It does show why a statement about confidence should not be mistaken for blanket consent to any scene or a lack of boundaries.

Her comments on intimacy coordinators

Sweeney has spoken in favor of intimacy coordinators. In 2022, Backstage quoted her saying: “It’s important to always have an intimacy coordinator, even if it’s not a sex scene and it’s making out or something like that.”

The Independent also reported her account of feeling comfortable filming Euphoria with an intimacy coordinator on set. That is evidence of what she said about her own working experience, not proof that all actors have the same level of support or feel the same way about intimate scenes.

Why the wider context matters

In the same Independent interview, Sweeney criticized the different reception men and women can receive for screen nudity: “When a guy has a sex scene or shows his body, he still wins awards and gets praise. But the moment a girl does it, it’s completely different.” Her point concerns how audiences and the industry respond to nudity; it does not change the scope of her reported comment about her own nerves.

Taken together, the accounts describe more than one aspect of her experience: confidence around nude scenes as reported in 2025, nerves about a particular earlier scene, the ability to request cuts, and the value she places on intimacy coordination. None supports a universal claim about how actors feel or how every set operates.
