A 2026 report later said a voter record listed that name, supporting reports that it is her legal name. Noelle is her mother Katie Holmes’s middle name, but Suri has not publicly confirmed that she chose it as a tribute.
What name did Suri use at graduation?
At the June 2024 graduation ceremony at New York’s LaGuardia High School, she was presented as Suri Noelle rather than Suri Cruise. The Los Angeles Times also reported that she had used Suri Noelle in a school production of the jukebox musical Head Over Heels. Those appearances establish public use of the name, but a graduation program or production credit alone does not establish a legal name change.
Is Suri Noelle her legal name?
In July 2026, El País reported that an Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, voter record listed her as Suri Noelle in October 2024. The report said People and Page Six reviewed the record and that Pennsylvania courts confirmed voters must be listed under their legal names. This supports describing Suri Noelle as her reported legal name; the record itself was not directly inspected for this account.
The exact date and place of any name-change filing have not been established in the cited reporting. A July 2026 Vanity Fair report said Page Six had not found an Allegheny County name-change application and suggested a filing might have taken place in New York, where Suri lived before college. New York is a possibility reported in that account, not a confirmed filing location.

Does the name pay tribute to Katie Holmes?
Noelle is Katie Holmes’s middle name, a connection reported by the Los Angeles Times. That makes a tribute interpretation understandable, but no direct statement from Suri explaining her choice has been reported in the sources cited here. It is more accurate to describe the family connection than to present her motive as confirmed.
