Elle Macpherson declined to discuss politics during a B105 Brisbane interview on 10 September 2024, then asked the hosts to return to the conversation after saying she had another call and a live show. The hosts initially thought she had hung up; a representative later said she had to leave because of a live TV commitment. The account does not establish that the politics question caused her to end the call.
What happened during the B105 interview?
Macpherson was speaking by phone with B105 Brisbane hosts Stav Davidson, Matty Acton and Loren Barry while promoting her memoir, Elle: Life, Lessons, and Learning to Trust Yourself. Acton asked whether she was still an Australian citizen and how voting worked for her while she lived in Miami. PerthNow reported her reply: “I wouldn’t ‘get drawn into politics on morning radio’.”
She then apologized, said other people were calling and that she had a live show, and asked whether they could return to the conversation. The hosts initially took the abrupt end as a hang-up. That was their impression in the moment, not a confirmed explanation of her intent.
Why did the call end?
A representative later attributed the end of the prerecorded phone interview to Macpherson’s schedule. 7NEWS quoted the representative saying Macpherson was in a green room before a live morning TV commitment and had to leave the interview because of the timing.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The later explanation supplies a scheduling reason, but the published account does not establish the precise moment or mechanics by which the interview ended. It is therefore more accurate to describe the exchange as an abrupt sign-off that the hosts initially interpreted as a hang-up—not to say that Macpherson hung up because she was asked about politics.
