Tyler Perry’s Straw reached No. 1 on Netflix’s English film chart for the week of June 2, 2025, with 25.3 million views reported by Netflix. The ranking was a weekly result from 2025, not evidence that the film currently leads Netflix.
What film does the headline refer to?
The film is Straw, which Netflix describes as a psychological thriller. Netflix’s weekly report calls it a story about “a woman pushed to her breaking point.” The headline’s “crime thriller” wording is not the genre label Netflix uses in that report.

Netflix Tudum reported that Straw debuted at No. 1 on the English film charts for the week of June 2, 2025, with 25.3 million views. Netflix described it as the most-watched title of that week.
