This is the archived answer guide for Strands #132, published July 13, 2024—not the current daily puzzle. Its theme was “Hello kitty,” and its spangram was FURCOAT.
Strands #132 theme and answers
The theme, “Hello kitty,” points to cat coat colors and patterns. The six theme words were:
- BLACK
- CALICO
- ORANGE
- TABBY
- TORTOISESHELL
- TUXEDO
The spangram was FURCOAT, which captures the connection among the answers. The answer set is corroborated by Try Hard Guides and Tom’s Guide, hosted by Yahoo Entertainment.
How the July 13 spangram and hints work
Try Hard Guides describes Strands as a word-search-style game: theme words are hidden in a letter grid, and the spangram describes the theme, spans opposite sides of the grid, and is highlighted in yellow. Its coverage also says players can earn a hint for each three qualifying non-theme words found.
