Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham’s 1973 album Buckingham Nicks was reissued by Rhino on September 19, 2025. The remastered release is available in vinyl, CD and digital formats; its return is an album reissue, not an announcement of new music or a reunion.
What is Buckingham Nicks?
Buckingham Nicks is the only studio album credited to Nicks and Buckingham as a duo. Released in 1973, it came before the pair joined Fleetwood Mac and captures their musical partnership just before that chapter of their careers. Rhino’s release announcement and the official album site identify it as their 1973 album.
When was the reissue released, and what formats are included?
Rhino released the remastered edition on September 19, 2025. The announcement confirms CD and digital formats, while the official album site lists vinyl editions as well. Those formats were announced for the release; check official or retailer listings for current stock and availability in your country.
What changed in the 2025 edition?
The release is remastered. The Associated Press reported that the remaster was sourced from the original analog master tapes. The AP’s July 23, 2025 report also places the release in the context of the artists’ announcement.

The official site says the edition includes an exclusive insert with new liner notes by David Fricke, based on a conversation with Nicks and Buckingham. For vinyl buyers, the site lists a standard LP and a Rhino High Fidelity edition. The available information establishes the editions, but does not establish that one sounds better than another.
Why was it described as out of print?
“Out of print” refers to the album’s long gap before this reissue, not to a claim that every format was unavailable everywhere. The AP reported in July 2025 that the album was not then on streaming and identified a 1981 U.S. Polydor vinyl issue as the last prior vinyl release it cited. That account is specific to the U.S. pressing history and does not establish availability in every country or at every point in time.
