It ran for about three and a half hours—not exactly three—and brought songs from across her career together in a production that evolved as new music arrived.
How long was the Eras Tour concert?
Performances lasted about three and a half hours. The title’s “3-hour” description is rounded: the Associated Press and Guinness World Records both characterize the show as 3.5 hours. The length made room for a broad retrospective rather than a short run of hits.
How many songs and eras did the show cover?
The Associated Press described a 44-song performance representing 10 eras. Guinness World Records says songs from 10 albums were represented initially, with the album count growing to 11 when the European leg began in May 2024, after The Tortured Poets Department was released. These figures describe the show’s broad scope, not one unchanging setlist: songs and sections shifted during the tour.
The organizing idea was the eras themselves. Rather than treating Swift’s career as a single sound, the show moved among distinct album periods and their visual identities. Its repertoire could expand as her catalog did: Disney says the final-show film includes the full The Tortured Poets Department set.

When and where did Taylor Swift play the tour?
The Eras Tour ran from March 17, 2023, to December 8, 2024. Guinness World Records lists 149 performances across 51 stadiums, 19 countries and five continents, using figures reported to Billboard Boxscore. Swift described the tour to fans at her 100th show in Liverpool as having become “my entire life,” and said that was the first time she had acknowledged to herself that it would end in December, according to the Associated Press.
What records did the Eras Tour set?
Guinness World Records lists a gross of $2,077,618,725 and 10,168,008 tickets sold, describing it as the first billion-dollar music tour. The same record page reports an average ticket price of $204.33 and average attendance of 68,242 per performance. These are the record figures Guinness attributes to Billboard Boxscore, not independently recalculated estimates.
The scale helps explain why the tour became a global event, but those figures alone do not explain its meaning to fans. The production framed a long career as a live retrospective, allowing audiences to move between familiar songs and different chapters of Swift’s work in one evening.
Why did the tour reach beyond the stadium?
Fans who could not attend followed the show through livestreams broadcast by concertgoers. The Associated Press reported millions watched fan-broadcasted streams, while fans tracked outfits, surprise-song selections and lyric changes from night to night. Friendship bracelets became another recognizable part of the audience experience.
That participation made the tour feel ongoing even to people outside the venue: each performance offered details fans could compare and discuss. It is a cultural dimension of the event, distinct from the ticket and gross totals; the sources do not establish a precise cumulative livestream audience.
Which Eras Tour concert film should you watch?
There are official film releases capturing different points in the tour. The 2024 Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) added “cardigan” and four acoustic songs beyond the earlier theatrical and video-on-demand releases. Disney’s 2025 Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show records the final Vancouver performance and includes the full The Tortured Poets Department set. Disney lists its runtime as 3 hours 27 minutes.
| Release | What it captures | What distinguishes it |
|---|---|---|
| Taylor’s Version (2024) | A concert-film release with added material beyond earlier theatrical and video-on-demand versions. | Includes “cardigan” and four acoustic songs. |
| The Final Show (2025) | The final Vancouver show. | Includes the full The Tortured Poets Department set; Disney lists a 3-hour-27-minute runtime. |
Disney+ lists The Final Show in its catalog, but streaming availability can vary by region and change over time; check the local catalog before planning to watch. Disney said in 2024 that the theatrical concert film had grossed more than $260 million worldwide. The Walt Disney Company also reported that Taylor’s Version drew 4.6 million Disney+ views in its first three days and was then the platform’s No. 1 music film; those are company-reported figures from 2024.

A greatest-hits show looks backward by collecting familiar songs. The Eras Tour made the shape of Swift’s career its subject: songs represented different album periods, the staging gave those periods distinct identities, and the repertoire changed as the catalog grew. At about three and a half hours, it was a sustained live retrospective—and a shared event that fans continued to follow between shows.
