The new Disney+ docuseries shows Taylor Swift handing out bonuses to Eras Tour crew members, but it does not disclose the amount on each check. The widely reported US$197 million figure is a tour-wide total attributed to People by The Associated Press and CNA—not a confirmed payment to each dancer or crew member.
What the bonus scene shows
In episode two of The End of an Era, Swift gives crew members handwritten letters sealed with wax stamps. The Associated Press reports that the scene does not reveal individual bonus amounts. CNA reports that dancer Kameron Saunders reads a card, but the amount is bleeped.
Swift explains in the episode that the bonuses grew as the tour grossed more. CNA transcribes her saying: “Bonus day is so important because setting a precedent with the Eras Tour is really important to me.” She also says: “Because people who work on the road, if the tour grosses more, they get more of a bonus. And these people just work so hard and they’re the best at what they do.”
Was each dancer paid US$750,000?
No individual figure is confirmed by the cited accounts. CNA describes US$750,000 per person as fan speculation, not a figure confirmed by Swift’s employees. The episode does not establish what any one dancer—or anyone in another crew role—received.

What does the reported US$197 million mean?
The Associated Press and CNA each attribute a reported US$197 million in tour bonuses to People. That is a reported aggregate for the tour, not a per-person payment. Neither outlet independently itemizes the payments, and the episode does not show a payroll breakdown.
| Figure | What it represents | What is established |
|---|---|---|
| US$197 million | Reported tour-wide bonus total | Attributed to People by AP and CNA; not itemized in the episode or independently documented in those reports. |
| US$750,000 per person | Claim about an individual bonus | Fan speculation reported by CNA; not confirmed. |
