Erin Murphy, the actor who played Tabitha Stephens on Bewitched, has continued working in entertainment since the sitcom ended, with later acting credits and appearances in other television projects. In an October 2025 interview excerpt, she reflected on the show’s unexpected ending; a full account of her current 2026 activities is not established by the available reporting.
Who played Tabitha on Bewitched?
Tabitha Stephens, the daughter of witch Samantha and mortal Darrin, was played by Erin Murphy. Sony’s official series page includes Murphy in the cast of the comedy about Samantha’s suburban life with Darrin and her mother, Endora.
Murphy joined the show as a very young child alongside her fraternal twin, Diane. ABC News reported that child-labor limits led producers to audition twins and divide the work: Erin appeared in close-ups and major scenes, while Diane was used for longer shots and cutaways. In a 1997 archived interview, Murphy recalled, “Diane and I were never on the set together.” That recollection is hers; ABC’s later account provides the production explanation.
What was it like for Erin Murphy to grow up on the set?
In a 2015 interview with ABC News, Murphy remembered the set as “a great place to grow up.” She said Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick Sargent felt like parental figures: “They really were like parents to me.” She described Agnes Moorehead as a loving, colorful presence and said, “I think I kind of had the best of both worlds,” reflecting on the balance between acting and an ordinary childhood.

What did Erin Murphy do after Bewitched?
Murphy continued in commercials and modeling after the sitcom, then worked in production and makeup before returning to on-camera entertainment. A TV Insider report published October 18, 2025, based on an interview excerpt from Remind, names later acting credits including Lassie, The Comeback Kids and Life Interrupted, as well as an appearance on RuPaul’s Drag U. TV Insider also reported that she had appeared in more than 80 commercials; that figure is the outlet’s summary of her commercial work, not a measure of her current activity.
Her 2015 ABC interview described a broader range of work and interests at that time, including hosting, endorsements, charity, advocacy, family and business activities. Those details are a dated snapshot, not confirmation that each role or venture remains active.

What is Erin Murphy doing now?
The latest specific interview identified here is TV Insider’s October 18, 2025 excerpt, in which Murphy discussed Bewitched ending unexpectedly and the report reviewed some of her later acting work. That establishes her recent public reflection on the series, but not a complete picture of her 2026 schedule. The available dated reporting does not establish her current residence, family circumstances or which ventures described in 2015 are still operating, so older biographical details should not be presented as current updates.
