Yes. Starbucks has confirmed that the original Bearista Glass Cold Cup will return during the 2026 holiday season, but it has not announced the cup’s specific release date. The November 5 start date applies to the broader holiday Bearista collection—not necessarily to the original glass cup.
When does the original Bearista cup come out?
In its October 5, 2026 holiday merchandise announcement, Starbucks said the original Bearista Glass Cold Cup will return this holiday season. The company did not give a date for that cup.
Starbucks separately said holiday merchandise, including the Bearista collection, begins arriving November 5. That is the collection’s start date, not a confirmed release date for the original glass cup. Treat any more specific date as unconfirmed unless Starbucks announces it.
What is the Starbucks Bearista cup?
The original Bearista Glass Cold Cup is a glass cup shaped like a friendly bear and designed for cold beverages. Starbucks says it first launched in Korea in autumn 2023; the bear design has also appeared in regional expressions across China, Korea and Vietnam. Starbucks Stories Asia describes the character’s path into the company’s merchandise.

Is the pink Bearista the same cup as the original?
No. The Pink Bearista was a separate, Pink Drink-inspired collectible, with a hat and strawberry straw topper. Starbucks announced online early access for Reserve members on July 9, 2026, followed by a July 13 release in select coffeehouses across the U.S., Canada, Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, while supplies lasted. The company set a two-item-per-customer limit in coffeehouses for that release. Those were terms for the pink cup’s past launch, not the original cup’s announced return. Details are in Starbucks’ Pink Bearista announcement.
How do the Bearista releases differ?
| Release | Design | Timing and access |
|---|---|---|
| Original Bearista Glass Cold Cup | Glass cold cup shaped like a bear | Confirmed for the 2026 holiday season; exact date and specific purchase terms not announced in Starbucks’ October 5 announcement. Starbucks identifies Starbucks Shop and coffeehouses as general holiday merchandise channels, without specifying this cup’s listing or store allocation. |
| Pink Bearista | Pink Drink-inspired cup with a hat and strawberry straw topper | July 9 online early access for Reserve members and July 13, 2026 release in select coffeehouses across specified regions, while supplies lasted; two per customer in coffeehouses. |
| Soccer-themed Bearista | Soccer-themed design | Announced for participating coffeehouses in Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific; U.S. online access through Starbucks Shop for Reserve-tier Rewards members began June 11, 2026, while supplies lasted. |
The pink and soccer-themed cups were distinct releases with their own past access windows. Their dates, regions and eligibility do not establish when or how the original cup will be sold. Starbucks’ soccer merchandise announcement covers that separate drop.

Where can you buy the original Bearista cup?
Starbucks names Starbucks Shop and Starbucks coffeehouses as channels for holiday merchandise generally. Its announcement does not confirm the original cup’s exact online listing, which stores will receive it, or how many will be available. Watch Starbucks’ official shop and local coffeehouse announcements for details; availability may vary by location.
Searching for “Starbucks Bearista Glass Cold Cup” on Amazon may surface listings, but Starbucks has not verified an Amazon listing, current stock, seller authenticity or marketplace price in its announcement. Amazon is not identified as an official release channel, so check who sells and ships any listing and compare it with Starbucks’ official updates.

Why is the cup difficult to find?
Starbucks Global Chief Brand Officer Tressie Lieberman wrote on July 17, 2026, that the original Glass Bearista Cold Cup “went viral and sold out in less than a day” during the previous holiday season. She also said the later limited-edition Pink Bearista “mostly sold out by 7 a.m. across North America on the day it went on sale.” These are Starbucks’ reported experiences for two different releases, not independently audited sales figures or a guarantee about the 2026 holiday cup. Lieberman’s essay gives the company’s account.
