Kylie Minogue, Future and Arcade Fire were announced as the headline acts for Splendour in the Grass 2024, alongside a bill that included G Flip, Turnstile, Omar Apollo, Tash Sultana, Fontaines D.C. and The Last Dinner Party. The festival was cancelled two weeks after the lineup announcement, so the advertised performances—including Minogue’s—did not take place.
Splendour in the Grass 2024 lineup
The festival’s official lineup listed Kylie Minogue, Future and Arcade Fire at the top of the 2024 bill. Other announced acts included G Flip, Turnstile, Omar Apollo, Tash Sultana, Fontaines D.C., The Last Dinner Party and Angie McMahon. These were artists announced for the planned event, not a record of performances that occurred.
Why Kylie Minogue was a headline draw
Splendour’s artist profile promoted Minogue as set to take over the Splendour in the Grass Amphitheatre for the first time. The profile described her as having sold more than 80 million records, accumulated 5 billion streams and released nine UK No. 1 albums; those are figures published by the festival, not independently verified figures here. Her scheduled appearance was cancelled with the event.
Did Splendour in the Grass go ahead?
No. ABC News reported that the 2024 edition was cancelled two weeks after the lineup announcement, with refunds offered to ticket holders. In a January 2025 report, ABC said organisers Splendour and Secret Sounds announced that the festival would not take place in 2025, saying it “needs a little more time to recharge and we won’t be back this year.” That statement referred to 2025; it does not establish a permanent closure or what may happen in a later year.

ABC also quoted Australian Festival Association managing director Mitch Wilson saying, “We’re seeing costs up 30-40 per cent across the board, and ticket sales just aren’t where they need to be to cover those costs.” This was sector context, not an audited cost figure for Splendour specifically.
Was the lineup released a day early?
The official lineup and artist pages confirm the announced bill, but do not establish that it was published a day early or explain why. The “a day early” wording should therefore be treated as an unconfirmed timing claim, not as evidence of a leak or a known release schedule.

What the 2024 ticket terms covered
The festival’s published 2024 ticket terms concerned the planned event and described event entry, camping access, vehicle passes and event-operated return shuttle services. Camping access required both a valid event ticket and a camping ticket. The terms also included rules such as no large bags and no alcohol brought into the venue. They are historical information for the cancelled 2024 edition, not a current ticket offer or guidance for a later festival.
