The Steve Miller Band canceled its remaining 2025 U.S. tour dates in July, citing safety risks from extreme and unpredictable weather. A Memphis venue said 31 dates were affected. Ticket arrangements depended on the event: some tickets were to be honored for a replacement concert, while a reported Foxwoods cancellation was subject to a sale-price refund policy for qualifying orders.
Why did the Steve Miller Band cancel its 2025 tour dates?
Steve Miller attributed the cancellation to the risks of extreme heat, flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and large forest fires. In a statement posted to the band’s social accounts, he said those conditions made the risks to the audience, band and crew “unacceptable.” He added, “You can blame it on the weather. … The tour is cancelled.” The Associated Press reported that a band spokesperson declined to provide further details. The band did not cite ticket sales, health or another reason.
The announcement appeared Wednesday night, July 16, 2025, and was reported the next day. The planned itinerary was due to start in August and continue through early November, with nearly three dozen U.S. stops, according to the Associated Press.
How many dates were canceled?
Memphis Botanic Garden’s Live at the Garden said on July 17, 2025, that 31 dates were affected. The available reporting identifies examples in several states, including New York, Tennessee, Florida and California, but does not provide a complete date-by-date itinerary. The “31 dates” figure is the venue’s count; the Associated Press described the planned schedule as nearly three dozen U.S. stops.
