Post Malone tattooed a penis with two drops above Steve-O’s right eye backstage at Bonnaroo on June 14, 2024, the day after the Jackass star turned 50. Steve-O said he planned to keep the face tattoo for a while and see how long he could tolerate it before considering laser removal.
What Post Malone tattooed on Steve-O
The design was a penis with two drops, placed above Steve-O’s right eye. Contemporary reports described it as his first face tattoo. Post Malone did the tattoo backstage at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Tennessee on June 14, 2024—one day after Steve-O’s 50th birthday.
Steve-O had previewed the plan, telling Men’s Journal: “Post Malone is going to tattoo a d–k on my forehead. That’s the plan.”
Why Steve-O chose the tattoo
Steve-O said he wanted to test how long he could live with a face tattoo before deciding whether to have it removed. He hoped to keep it through the start of his comedy tour on June 21, 2024. In an interview with Southern California News Group, he described the idea as “a bit of a social experiment” and said laser removal would remain an option.

He also explained why he asked Post Malone: “He’s a prolific face tattoo guy,” Steve-O told the publication.
The idea began with a Jackass movie
Steve-O said he had designed the tattoo himself and had considered the gag for a previous Jackass movie, but the idea did not make it into the film. TMZ reported that Johnny Knoxville stopped it because the movie already had too many penis gags; that explanation is TMZ’s account, not a direct quote from Knoxville.

Steve-O and Post Malone had tattooed each other before
The Bonnaroo tattoo was not their first time sharing a tattoo session. Men’s Journal reported that they inked matching ghosts in 2022, while TMZ also noted that they had tattooed each other previously.
The face tattoo was reported as a June 2024 event. The available coverage cited here does not establish whether Steve-O later kept it or had it removed.
