The topless description belongs to a still image reported in May 2020; a January 2026 video account describes Vergara wading in the water while covering her upper body with a towel.
Which throwback post is the headline about?
The available reports do not identify a single post that matches every part of the headline. They cover multiple beach and modeling-era throwbacks, published years apart. Keeping the posts separate matters: the report describing a topless appearance concerns an image, while the later report about wading describes towel coverage.

What the separate reports describe
| Report date | Post described | What the source says |
|---|---|---|
| April 15, 2020 | A video from Fuera de Serie | Entertainment Tonight reported that Vergara shared a throwback video from the Spanish-language travel show. Its beach segment shows her in a yellow bikini. The article says the show ran on Telemundo from 1995 to 1998, with Vergara and co-host Fernando Fiore traveling and sharing food and historical facts. Read Entertainment Tonight’s report. |
| May 15, 2020 | A Miami beach throwback image | Telemundo described a separate 1990s image of Vergara lying on the sand in bikini bottoms without a top. The article reported more than 400,000 likes at the time it was published; that is a historical count for the image, not a current figure or a video metric. Read Telemundo’s report in Spanish. |
| September 1, 2023 | A Colombia modeling-era video | PureWow reported a video showing Vergara in a black bikini and matching lace sarong on a beach in Colombia, followed by a white-dress shot. It does not establish that this is the same event as either 2020 post. Read PureWow’s report. |
| January 22, 2026 | An Instagram beach-video montage | Parade described a montage captioned “#tbt☀️💋,” including a yellow string bikini with black detailing and a scene in which Vergara wades waist-deep while covering her upper body with a towel. The account also mentions a prone beach pose and a leopard-print bikini photoshoot clip; it does not verify that Vergara was topless while wading. Read Parade’s report. |
What is—and is not—confirmed
- The 2020 Fuera de Serie report concerns a video, but describes Vergara in a yellow bikini.
- The May 2020 topless description refers to a separate image, not a confirmed ocean-dip video.
- The January 2026 account describes Vergara wading with a towel covering her upper body; it does not say she was topless in the water.
- The reports do not establish that any of these scenes are the same event, nor do they verify a specific post matching all the headline’s details.
