The fourth Tom Holland Spider-Man film is titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day and is scheduled for general release on July 31, 2026. Holland’s much-discussed excitement was about an early screenplay draft he read with Zendaya in October 2024—not a claim that the script was finished or that the final film had been seen.
When does Spider-Man 4 come out?
Sony lists Spider-Man: Brand New Day for general release on July 31, 2026. Sony’s corporate release schedule gives the same date, confirming the date is not just an earlier announcement from when the film was still untitled. Sony Pictures’ film page and Sony’s FY26 first-quarter release schedule list the film and date.
What did Tom Holland say about the script?
In an October 2024 interview on the Rich Roll Podcast, Holland said he and Zendaya sat down to read a draft together. He recalled that they were enthusiastic enough to “bounce around the living room,” calling it “a real movie worthy of the fans’ respect.” The Credits reported the comment in October 2024. That enthusiasm came with an important qualification: Holland also said the draft still needed work. His reaction therefore describes an encouraging stage in development, not a finished screenplay, a final cut, or a promise about the movie’s quality.
