Simone Biles’s clearest firsthand routine is a Vogue demonstration published July 9, 2020: she washes her face, uses an SK-II mask and essence, and applies her own competition makeup, including Fenty Beauty foundation and eyeliner. A separate product breakdown from the 2024 U.S. Championships describes makeup artist Alayza Casey’s work—not a routine Biles demonstrated herself. Neither account establishes what Biles uses today.
What Biles demonstrated in Vogue’s 2020 video
In Vogue’s July 9, 2020 Beauty Secrets video, Biles presents a skincare and makeup routine and says she does her own makeup for competitions. She describes teaching herself and shows the following steps and products:
Skincare
- She washes her face.
- She applies an SK-II Facial Treatment Mask.
- She follows with SK-II Pitera Essence, also known as Facial Treatment Essence.
Vogue’s written account of the video characterizes the skincare as a creamy SK-II cleanser, sheet mask and exfoliating essence. The video’s demonstration is the clearest firsthand record of the sequence; it is a dated account, not confirmation of a current routine.
Competition makeup
Biles names Fenty Beauty foundation and Fenty eyeliner. She says she usually chooses gold eyeshadow for competition because she likes how it suits her skin, then shapes the liner into a wing. She also says her eyebrows were microbladed and that she generally leaves them alone, filling them in only when needed.

Vogue’s accompanying article additionally names Pat McGrath glittery gold eyeshadow, Marc Jacobs volumizing mascara, two Westman Atelier cream blushes and Carmex Lip Balm. These are products in the 2020 account; the article does not establish whether they remain in her makeup kit.
How a February 2020 interview differs
In a February 12, 2020 Vogue interview, Biles said she did not really have a set skincare routine. She described liking lightweight-feeling SK-II products, washing her face and moisturizing after practice, and sometimes using the SK-II mask on weekends. That description of everyday habits is not the same as the more structured routine she demonstrated for the July video.

What reports said about her 2024 U.S. Championships makeup
Coverage of the June 1–2, 2024 U.S. Championships described a separate look created by makeup artist Alayza Casey. These reports attribute the product choices to Casey’s work for that competition weekend; they do not show that Biles selected or personally uses every item.
Skin prep and complexion products reported by Us Weekly
Us Weekly’s June 4, 2024 breakdown reports Casey used Kiehl’s Ultra Moisturizing Moisturizer and Kiehl’s Avocado Eye Cream for skin prep. Its complexion list includes Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Foundation, Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer, Hourglass Airbrush Concealer, Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Pressed Powder and Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Peach Pie. The report also names a Gucci bronzer and a One/Size by Patrick Starrr palette.

Eyes, lips and setting sprays reported by Allure
Allure’s June 3, 2024 account describes the look as matte glam and names the Patrick Ta Major Dimension III Matte Eyeshadow Palette, Huda Beauty Lip Contour 2.0 Automatic Matte Lip Pencil in Rich Brown and Hourglass Airbrush Concealer among the products Casey shared.
Both Allure and Us Weekly report three sprays used to finish the look: Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray, Kryolan Fixing Spray and Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray. This is a reported product list for Casey’s 2024 work, not evidence of a controlled test of how long the makeup lasted or a general performance benefit.
