Shai Bolton and his partner welcomed their second child, a daughter, in the week before PerthNow reported the news on 21 November 2024. The couple announced the birth on Bolton’s Instagram, according to the report. It did not name the baby or give her exact birth date.
What was announced about Shai Bolton’s daughter?
PerthNow reported on 21 November 2024 that Bolton and his partner had welcomed their second child and first daughter earlier that week. The report said the couple shared the news on Bolton’s Instagram. His partner commented “our girl” with a white heart, and the story named AFL players Daniel Rioli, Tom Lynch, Tyler Brockman and Jarman Impey among those who sent congratulations.
The report does not reproduce the full Instagram caption, so it does not establish exactly what Bolton wrote in the post. It also does not provide the child’s name or exact date of birth. PerthNow spells Bolton’s partner’s name inconsistently in its article; this account refers to her as his partner.
How did the birth relate to Bolton’s move to Fremantle?
Bolton joined Fremantle after the final day of the 2024 trade period. PerthNow reported that he wanted to return to Western Australia for family reasons and that he remained in Melbourne awaiting the birth, delaying his start to pre-season. The birth was therefore reported as part of the timing around his move and return west, not as a separate announcement from the club.
