In a January 2024 London stage-show interview, Sharon Osbourne said she attempted suicide after learning that her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, had had an affair. E! News reported her account and said her representative confirmed the quotes; the details below are attributed to Osbourne, not independently established medical findings.
What Sharon Osbourne said about the 2024 incident
Osbourne spoke during an on-stage interview with journalist Jane Moore at Sharon Osbourne: Cut the Crap in London, according to E! News, which published the account on January 23, 2024. She said the incident followed her learning about Ozzy Osbourne’s affair.

E! quoted her saying, “I took, I don’t know how many pills.” The outlet also reported that she locked herself in a bedroom and that a maid found her while trying to enter and clean the room. Osbourne did not give a precise number of pills in the reported remarks, and the coverage does not establish a medical outcome.
What was reported about the affair
The Daily Beast described the affair as involving hairdresser Michelle Pugh and as lasting from 2012 to 2016, attributing those details to stage-show remarks reported by The Mirror. That timeline and identification are reported context, not independently verified facts in the coverage cited here: The Daily Beast.

How this differs from Osbourne’s 2014 account
Osbourne also spoke publicly in 2014 about a separate incident from when she was dating Ozzy. In an interview reported by ABC News, she said she cut her wrist with a steak knife while intoxicated, intending to prove her love, and called an ambulance when the wound would not stop bleeding. She said she had not intended suicide and described the episode as something she had kept private out of embarrassment.
That earlier account involved wrist-cutting and is distinct from the 2024 disclosure about taking an unknown number of pills. The two incidents should not be combined into one event.
