On November 1, 2024, Sexyy Red said publicly that she had voted for Kamala Harris. That statement followed her reported expression of support for Donald Trump in an October 2023 interview. The reports establish the sequence, but do not establish why her public statements differed or independently verify her ballot.
What Sexyy Red said about her vote
On November 1, 2024, news outlets reported that Sexyy Red posted that she had voted for Harris. They reproduced the caption “#Kamala4President”; NME also described images showing “I Voted” stickers. This is a report of her public statement, not independent confirmation of how she voted in private.
TheGrio, HipHopDX, The Independent and NME all reported the Harris statement on November 1, shortly before Election Day.
What she had said about Trump earlier
In October 2023, Sexyy Red expressed support for Trump in an interview on Theo Von’s podcast, according to subsequent coverage. TheGrio reproduced the excerpt, “I like Trump … they support him in the hood.” That is an outlet-attributed fragment, not a verified full transcript; the available reporting does not supply enough surrounding context to extend or reinterpret it.

Why did her public statements differ?
The cited reports do not establish a reason. The later statement about voting for Harris does not, by itself, prove a broader or detailed change in Sexyy Red’s political views. Without a verified explanation from her, claims about why she made either statement would be speculation.
