Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut was released on October 24, 2024. Publisher Serenity Forge listed the game for PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox; its announcement is now a historical release-date update, not a coming-launch notice.
When did Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut come out?
Serenity Forge announced October 24, 2024 as the release date for The Pristine Cut. The publisher’s press kit and FAQ give that date. Black Tabby Games’ press kit had earlier described the edition as planned for Fall 2024.
What platforms is The Pristine Cut on?
The publisher listed Steam, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox, and described the digital release as available on PC and consoles. Black Tabby Games’ press kit specifies PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox for The Pristine Cut. Its platform list for the original game—released October 23, 2023—was PC, Mac, and Linux. The two lists distinguish the original release from the later edition; they do not establish current storefront availability for every platform.
What is The Pristine Cut?
Slay the Princess is a fully voiced horror tragicomedy by developer Black Tabby Games, published by Serenity Forge. Its premise begins with a task: follow a path through the woods to a cabin, where a princess is held in the basement, and kill her to prevent the end of the world. The publisher presented The Pristine Cut as an expanded, definitive edition. The official materials cited here do not provide a complete itemized account of its added routes, scenes, or other changes, so specific additions should not be assumed.
