Her maternal grandfather, David Cornett—affectionately known in the family as Papa—escorted her during the ceremony. What else is known about the wedding?
Gomez and Blanco married on September 27, 2025, in Santa Barbara, California. Vogue identified Sea Crest Nursery as the ceremony site and reported that around 170 family members and friends attended. The Associated Press also reported the marriage and described the couple’s outfits as custom Ralph Lauren; those details provide context but do not explain Gomez’s choice of escort.
The couple had also said before the wedding that they would skip a traditional first dance together. Gomez planned a special dance with her grandfather instead, according to Teen Vogue and Marie Claire UK.
