Savannah Guthrie’s July 27, 2026 video was a public appeal for help finding her mother, Nancy Guthrie. She asked whoever might know where Nancy was to tell the family where to look. Reports published that day said Nancy remained missing and the investigation was active, but they do not establish the case’s status as of October 8, 2026.
What Savannah Guthrie said in her video
In a video posted July 27, Guthrie described the family’s experience as “a nightmare that will not end.” She said, “Nothing about our situation has changed,” and urged the person who might have taken her mother to help the family find her.
“Help us find her. Tell us where to look for her,” Guthrie said. She also pleaded, “So I am asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now.” The Associated Press described the video as her latest public plea about her mother.
What was known about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing on February 1, 2026, from her home just outside Tucson, Arizona. The Associated Press reported that authorities believed she had been kidnapped, abducted, or otherwise taken against her will. That is an attributed account of authorities’ belief, not confirmation of who took her or what happened afterward.
