What is the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood sequel called?
Its official title is The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth. The film continues the story of Cliff Booth, the stunt double played by Pitt in Tarantino’s 2019 film Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood. What is the sequel about?
The story moves to Los Angeles in 1977, eight years after the events of the original film. Cliff is now a Hollywood fixer: alongside work as a bartender or projectionist, he solves problems for people in the film business. The plot begins when talent agent Karen Crosby, played by Debicki, asks him to help her client Charlie Peters, played by Caan, a television star known for doing his own stunts. Netflix describes a crime story involving murder, blackmail, theft, and extortion.
The sequel follows the original film’s alternate-history timeline, in which Cliff encountered the Manson family. It is set eight years after the 1969 events depicted in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, rather than continuing the story in the present day.

Is there also a Cliff Booth book?
Yes. The separate novelization, The Adventures of Cliff Booth, is reported by the Associated Press as a Harper release scheduled for December 8, 2026. That is a book publication date, not the film’s release date. In a statement released by Harper and reported by AP on September 15, 2026, Tarantino said, “Can’t wait for audiences to see and read Cliff Booth’s further adventures.” See the Associated Press report.
