TLC describes Seeking Sister Wife as a series about families considering the addition of a sister wife. The Merrifields’ storyline naturally supplies developments for that premise: a courtship can progress, stall, or give way to another relationship, and each change can affect the family’s plans.
TLC identifies Garrick and Dannielle as a returning family in its Season 6 profile. Their documented sequence of courtships—Roberta and Nathalia before Lorrana—gives the story continuity across seasons, while leaving room for a different relationship and a new set of decisions. What makes the Lorrana storyline consequential
The Season 6 episode descriptions move beyond the question of whom the couple is courting and show the practical and emotional stakes of a possible marriage. That combination helps explain the couple’s usefulness to the series without requiring assumptions about their private motives. Their story can follow a relationship as it develops while also showing how the prospect of change affects the existing household.
Will Garrick and Dannielle stay on the show?
They may return, but a long-term future on the series is not confirmed by the official sources available. TLC’s Season 6 materials establish that the Merrifields returned for that season, and Warner Bros. Discovery’s season announcement confirms their place in the show’s Season 6 context. Neither establishes a later-season casting commitment. The most supportable forecast is that their evolving family story gives the program a reason to keep following them; it is not proof that they will remain cast. Warner Bros. A major family update is not a casting confirmation
TLC later reported that Garrick, Dannielle, and Lorrana welcomed a baby girl on July 3, 2025. That development adds a consequential chapter to their family story, but a birth report does not say whether they will appear in a future season. TLC’s birth report covers the news.
