A Warner Bros International Australian crime drama was scheduled to film at Scarborough Beach on Monday, 11 August 2025, under the working title LAM. PerthNow reported that homes, businesses and footpaths would remain accessible, though pedestrians might be asked to wait briefly during filming. This was a historical notice, not a current closure alert.
What was being filmed at Scarborough Beach?
In a report published on 10 August 2025, PerthNow said Warner Bros International planned to film an Australian crime drama at Scarborough Beach the following Monday. The production was identified only by its working title, LAM, and described as a story about the psychological toll of life on the run. PerthNow’s report did not establish a final title, release date, cast or streaming availability.
The notice explained that actors and vehicles would wear WA Police attire. That was part of a fictional production, not an announcement of real police activity. The City of Stirling said, as quoted by PerthNow, “All action that takes place while filming is fictional and at no risk to the public.” The report reproduced the City’s statement; the original notice was not separately verified.
Where and when were controls planned?
PerthNow reported a planned traffic and pedestrian control window from 7:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. on Monday, 11 August 2025. The areas named were The Esplanade, Scarborough Amphitheatre and surrounding footpaths. These were arrangements reported for that filming day, not ongoing restrictions.

Could residents, customers and pedestrians still get through?
According to PerthNow’s account of the City of Stirling notice, filming was not expected to restrict access to businesses or residential properties. Footpaths were to remain open, but pedestrians could be asked to wait for a few minutes while filming was underway. The traffic management company was described as approved by the City.
The City also said, as quoted by PerthNow, “The Australian film industry relies on the assistance of the local community when filming on locations and the City of Stirling supports this production.” PerthNow’s account said additional filming was planned later that week at a private property in the Stirling area, with essential equipment vehicles parked along The Esplanade; the City expected no effect on pedestrian or vehicle access during that work.
