Is Season 5 the final season?
Yes. FX renewed The Bear for Season 5 on July 2, 2025. On May 6, 2026, Disney announced that Season 5 would be the series’ final season. The official FX page identifies it as the current and final season. No Season 6 announcement appears in the official sources cited here.

The 2025 renewal announcement also noted that Season 2 had won 11 Emmy Awards. That award count refers to Season 2, not Season 5.
What is Season 5 about?
According to Disney’s final-season announcement, the story picks up the morning after Sydney, Richie, and Natalie discover that Carmy has left the food industry. They are left to run the restaurant while facing financial trouble, the threat of a sale, and a storm. The distributor says they try to deliver one last service and hope to earn a Michelin star, while confronting whether a restaurant’s perfection comes from its people rather than its food.
