In an Esquire interview reported by PerthNow on 11 December 2023, Sam Kerr joked that her future wedding to then-fiancée Kristie Mewis could be a soccer take on a royal wedding: “It’s Harry and Meghan, and us.” The line was playful banter, not a formal announcement about wedding plans.
