The image of Sabrina Carpenter wearing black underwear and a single oversized black feather appeared in Interview Magazine’s September 2025 issue. It is a magazine photoshoot—not an onstage look or the 2024 SKIMS campaign—and the publication credits Brianna Capozzi as photographer and Mel Ottenberg as writer and stylist.

Where the single-feather image appeared

The image was part of Interview’s September 2025 issue and cover story, published September 2. A report published that day described Carpenter in black underwear with a large black feather as the only other visible element of the look. Yahoo News Malaysia’s report connects the image’s coverage to the August 29 release of Carpenter’s album Man’s Best Friend. That timing is context; it does not establish when the photograph was taken.

Who made the shoot

Interview credits Brianna Capozzi as photographer and Mel Ottenberg as writer and stylist for the September 2 cover story. Ottenberg, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, also speaks with Carpenter in the feature. She says, “I love dressing up,” and describes feeling most like herself with “pretty, wavy curly hair and a nice tan, freckles, a dewy cheek situation, and obviously a lip liner.” The Interview cover story contains the full conversation and its styling credits.

What is—and isn’t—known about the underwear

The image report identifies black underwear, but the available crediting does not conclusively identify the maker or model of the briefs in this particular feather photograph. Interview lists Yasmine Eslami for underwear in a credited look; that credit alone does not establish that the feather-image briefs are by that label. Treat any similar black briefs as styling inspiration, not an exact product identification.

Why the SKIMS campaign is a different look

Carpenter appeared in a separate SKIMS campaign in April 2024 featuring Stretch Lace and Fits Everybody styles, as covered by NYLON and Teen Vogue. That earlier campaign is not the single-feather Interview shoot, and its collection names do not identify the underwear in the 2025 image.
