Stewart made the remarks while appearing on Bilt Rewards’ Rent Free, a game show in which she guessed which celebrities respondents had named as fun to spend time with. She wondered whether Reynolds had made the list because he covers his face in his movies, then said: “He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.” E! Stewart later put the distinction more bluntly: Reynolds could act funny, she said, but “isn’t funny.” She also joked that she might get in trouble for saying it because he was her neighbor.

Nothing in the reported exchange warrants treating it as a serious feud.
