What was reported about the Perth visit?
The Nightly reported on 28 June 2024 that Kerr and Mewis arrived in Perth on Friday afternoon. The article did not establish why they were there. Its suggestion that they might have been seeking rest and relaxation was speculation, not a confirmed explanation. The Nightly’s report is the source for the June arrival and the uncertainty around its purpose.
What did “shocker six months” refer to?
The phrase described events reported in the first half of 2024. The Nightly said Mewis had been left out of the US Olympic squad after an injury-interrupted period, while Kerr was unavailable for the Olympics after an ACL injury. The article also referred to Kerr’s then-pending legal case and her not-guilty plea. These are historical details from June 2024, not updates on either player’s current circumstances or a finding about the case.
Was there another Perth visit?
Yes. In a separate event later that year, West Ham United reported on 31 August 2024 that Mewis visited the Sam Kerr Football Centre during the club’s Perth tour. West Ham’s report documents that August visit; it does not explain the earlier June arrival.
