Rush are returning to the stage in 2026 for the Fifty Something tour, with co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson performing Rush music alongside drummer Anika Nilles. The band describes the shows as a celebration of its music and legacy, and a tribute to late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart. The itinerary has grown since the original announcement; check Rush’s official tour page for current dates and ticket links.
Is Rush reuniting for a 2026 tour?
Yes. Rush and Live Nation announced the Fifty Something Tour on October 6, 2025. It brings Lee and Lifeson back to perform Rush music after they had not toured together since the band’s R40 finale at the Forum in Los Angeles on August 1, 2015.

This is a return by the two surviving co-founders, not a reunion with the band’s classic lineup: Neil Peart died in 2020, and Anika Nilles is joining Lee and Lifeson on drums. Lee described the decision in the official announcement: “It’s been over 10 years since Alex and I have performed the music of RUSH alongside our fallen bandmate and friend Neil.” (Rush’s announcement; Live Nation announcement.)
Who is the drummer on Rush’s Fifty Something tour?
Anika Nilles, a German drummer, composer, and producer, is joining Lee and Lifeson. The announcement says she had performed more than 60 shows as Jeff Beck’s drummer and released four solo albums. Her role is to accompany the returning co-founders on the tour; she is not being presented as a replacement for Peart’s place in Rush’s history.

How does the tour honor Neil Peart?
Rush frames the tour as both a celebration of more than 50 years of its music and a tribute to Peart, the band’s longtime drummer and lyricist. Peart’s widow, Carrie Nuttall-Peart, and daughter, Olivia Peart, expressed support in a joint statement: “We are thrilled to support the Fifty Something tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist.” (Rush’s announcement.)
What will the Rush 2026 shows be like?
The announced format is an “evening with” performance built around two sets each night, with different song selections from show to show. Rush initially said the setlist would be drawn from 35 songs; a later official update describes a catalog of more than 40 songs. These are pool sizes, not a promise that every song will be played at every show. No individual song is guaranteed by the format. (Rush’s initial announcement; Rush’s later tour update.)

What cities is Rush playing in 2026?
The original October 2025 plan covered 12 shows in seven cities across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, beginning June 7, 2026, at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Subsequent official updates expanded the itinerary, so that initial count and city list are not the complete schedule.
Rush’s later update named stops including Philadelphia, Detroit, Montreal, Boston, Cleveland, San Antonio, Denver, Seattle, San Jose, Washington, Uncasville, Hollywood, Tampa, Charlotte, Atlanta, Glendale, Edmonton, and Vancouver. A subsequent update added Houston, St. Louis, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh:

How do I get Rush 2026 tickets?
Start at Rush’s official tour page and follow the ticket link for the specific date and venue. The band’s September 2026 update said tickets for the four newly announced dates would go on sale September 4, 2026, and that tickets for other 2026 and 2027 dates were on sale at that time. That announcement is time-specific: it does not establish present availability or prices for any show.
