Rory Lobb unveiled bleach-blonde hair with “woof” lettering in red and blue ahead of the 2025 AFL Gather Round in Adelaide. He introduced the Bulldogs-themed look in a TikTok clip posted on Wednesday, 9 April, the day before the event began.
What Rory Lobb’s new hairstyle looked like
The Western Bulldogs player’s hair was bleached blonde, with the word “woof” marked in red and blue on either side of his head. In the clip reported by PerthNow on 9 April 2025, Lobb framed the makeover as a team-themed look: “We’re actually going to do a bit of a Doggies theme this week.” He later said, “Woof woof, go doggies.”
Why he changed it for Gather Round
The reveal came as the Bulldogs prepared for Gather Round in Adelaide, which began on 10 April 2025. Lobb’s clip showed him in a barber’s chair, but the report did not identify the barber or salon, or explain the products or coloring technique used.
The look followed a run of colorful styles
The blonde “woof” design followed a red lobster design Lobb wore for his return to play against former club Fremantle. The ABC’s 6 April 2025 report covered the lobster look and the Bulldogs’ Gather Round fixture. PerthNow also noted other styles Lobb had worn in 2025, including blue, blonde and natural brown.

PerthNow quoted Lobb setting up the transformation by saying, “It’s time to get this big lobster off my head,” followed by, “I’m going to go bleach blonde.” The new design turned that color change into an unmistakable Bulldogs-themed statement.
