PEOPLE reproduced a Palace statement thanking those who had sent good wishes and saying the King was “delighted to learn that his diagnosis is having a positive impact on public health awareness.” The report connected that awareness to increased public interest in prostate enlargement. It also relayed a claim that searches on the NHS website had risen by “1,000%”; that figure was reported secondhand and is not independently verified here.
