La frase «en una semana» expresaba el plan que tenía entonces; los reportes disponibles no confirman que la cirugía se realizara ni cuál fue su resultado.

People en Español informó que Quevedo contó que, durante su estancia en La casa de los famosos All-Stars, le hicieron un sonograma y que después continuó con otros estudios. Según ese medio, habló de dos nódulos en la garganta: uno benigno y otro cancerígeno, y anunció que lo operarían de la tiroides. People en Español, 5 de junio de 2025.
Revista Vea, de El Espectador, publicó el 6 de junio declaraciones atribuidas a una entrevista con Jesús Cáceres. Su relato también menciona dos nódulos: Quevedo describió uno como que «está bien» y dijo que el otro requería continuar con estudios.
