No Musk interview is identified in the available episode listing. Musk’s reported offer was conditional: he said he would appear if The Daily Show aired the interview unedited. The show accepted that condition, Jon Stewart later said, but Stewart also said Musk did not respond when he tried to arrange the appearance.
What was Musk’s offer?
After Jon Stewart criticized the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), Musk reportedly offered to appear on The Daily Show if the interview aired unedited. That condition matters: the report describes a conditional offer, not a confirmed booking. NME’s search-result description also summarized the offer as conditional on an unedited broadcast, although its article page was inaccessible when checked. NME’s report

How did Stewart say the exchange unfolded?
In an April 24, 2025 report, The Daily Beast recounted Stewart’s account that the show accepted Musk’s condition. Stewart said: “He said, ‘I’ll come on the show if you air it unedited.’ And we went, ‘Sure, fine. That’s how most of them are, so sure, what the f—?’” The Daily Beast’s report
Stewart said Musk then called him a “propagandist” and began backing away. Stewart also said he sent Musk a direct message asking whether there was someone on Musk’s team to contact about making the interview happen. “I did DM him,” Stewart said. “I got ghosted.” Those are Stewart’s descriptions of the exchange and his outreach; they do not independently establish Musk’s intentions.

Was the interview ever broadcast?
The official Daily Show listing on Paramount+ surfaced episodes through October 6, 2026, and did not identify Musk as a guest. The October 6 episode is listed as hosted by Michael Kosta; an October 5 episode features Stewart and former Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon. Check the official Paramount+ listing
This is a limited check of the episodes shown in that listing, not proof that a future appearance could never be announced. The listing itself does not identify a Musk interview, and Stewart’s reported account says his attempt to arrange one went unanswered.
