Reports differ by a day on the iPhone and iPad launch—July 23 or July 24—so late July is the clearest supported date. The game paired a classic arcade mode with a redesigned mode, but the available records do not confirm whether its iOS or Android versions can still be downloaded today.
When did Q*bert: Rebooted come out on mobile?
The iOS release was reported in late July 2015. GamesBeat dated the iPhone and iPad launch to July 24, while Pocket Gamer reported iOS availability on July 23. Those accounts support a late-July launch, not a single definitive date.
The rollout followed an earlier console release. In February 2015, LOOT Entertainment’s Jason Sorensen announced a PlayStation version combining the original game with a reimagined one. The US PlayStation Store listing gives February 17, 2015 as the release date for its individual edition; it currently says that edition is not available for purchase. That console listing does not establish mobile availability.
How was the mobile release connected to Pixels?
The game’s mobile arrival was timed as a promotion around Pixels, the film featuring Q*bert. GamesBeat described the movie as a story about arcade-game professionals confronting pixelated game characters; that is the publication’s characterization, not an official synopsis. The tie-in extended beyond timing: Sideline Amusements describes a PlayStation Pixels Theme Bundle that included a Q*bert dynamic theme and three-way cross-buy.

The documented promotion was digital. The available product descriptions identify game editions and a PlayStation theme, but do not establish a physical edition, an essential mobile accessory, or a specific movie-media product as part of the tie-in.

- Q*Bert Rebooted!: a redesigned mode with hexagonal platforms rather than the original cubes. The developer lists more than 30 new levels, returning enemies including Coily, additional foes, character variants such as Q*Zilla and Q*Nicorn, and competition with friends.
In the PlayStation.Blog announcement, Sorensen summed up the visual change: “Instead of cubes, Q*Bert Rebooted features hexagons.” The blog presented the original and reimagined games together as a two-game package across PlayStation platforms.
What did the mobile game cost at launch?
GamesBeat reported on July 24, 2015 that the mobile game was free to download with in-app purchases. That describes its launch-era model only; it does not establish current pricing, whether any in-app purchases remain functional, or whether the app can still be installed.

Can you still play it on iPhone or Android?
Current mobile download availability is unresolved. Sideline Amusements’ Q*Bert Rebooted page lists iOS and Android among the platforms, but a platform mention on a developer page is not proof of a working App Store or Google Play listing today.
Pocket Gamer’s July 23, 2015 update said Android was then available only for Android TV and quoted the creators as expecting a full Android mobile version the following month. That is useful historical context, not confirmation that an Android phone version is currently available. The present PlayStation Store status likewise applies only to the individual console edition, not mobile storefronts.
