TheWrap reported that Jamie Dornan would play Strider. Since Strider is Aragorn’s ranger identity, the casting report supports the connection between Aragorn and the hunt. This cast update was not part of the studio’s May 2024 announcement.
The story is set before The Fellowship of the Ring
