The Pokémon Happy Meal promotion announced for January 21 was a limited-time offer at participating McDonald’s restaurants in the United States in 2025—not a new offer beginning on January 21 of this year. McDonald’s said the meals would be available while supplies lasted; its announcement does not establish whether any location has stock now.
What came in the 2025 U.S. Pokémon Happy Meal?
McDonald’s said each meal included a Pokémon TCG booster pack, a Pokémon poster and a sticker sheet. The booster pack contained four cards selected from 15 available card types, so the announcement did not promise a particular card or a complete collection. The Happy Meal boxes came in four designs: Charizard; Pikachu and Dragonite together; Rayquaza; and Roaring Moon.
What was the Pokémon TCG Pocket app reward?
For Happy Meals ordered through the McDonald’s app, the promotion also offered a code for 24 pack hourglasses and 12 wonder hourglasses in Pokémon TCG Pocket. This was a one-time reward under the 2025 promotion, not an offer confirmed as redeemable now.

The U.S. announcement described a limited-time promotion at participating restaurants, while supplies lasted. It does not confirm current availability or leftover stock at any location. Check with a nearby restaurant if you want to ask about local stock; the 2025 announcement alone cannot verify it.

Why do dates and Pokémon Happy Meal details differ by country?
The January 21 promotion was for the United States. McDonald’s Japan announced separate campaigns with different dates and contents, so their details should not be treated as part of the U.S. offer.
- Japan, 2025: A separate promotion began August 8 and featured nine toy types. Its announcement also described a limited weekend card giveaway, with random selection and supply limits. (McDonald’s Japan, August 4, 2025)
- Japan, 2026: A distinct campaign announced for August featured 12 toy types and a digital Pokémon collection feature. (McDonald’s Japan, August 3, 2026)
Neither Japanese campaign changes the dates, contents or availability terms of the U.S. promotion from January 2025.
