This is an archive guide to BGR’s 22 Pluto TV movie picks for July 2024—not a current availability list. BGR published its roundup on June 28, 2024, dividing the recommendations into five featured films and 17 additional choices. Its 2024 guidance described Pluto TV as free and ad-supported, accessible through the website or app without an account; that does not confirm today’s signup policy or whether any listed film is still streaming.
What the July 2024 list includes
BGR’s count of 22 refers to the films in its recommendation article, not Pluto TV’s total movie additions for the month. The broader July catalog roundup from The Nerdy covered more titles and said July additions generally began streaming free on July 1 unless otherwise noted. That month-start guidance does not establish current availability.
The five featured recommendations were Adventureland, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, There Will Be Blood, The Truman Show, and Zero Dark Thirty. BGR also named 17 more movies:
- Boyz n the Hood
- Chinatown
- Collateral
- The Dark Crystal
- Eyes Wide Shut
- Footloose
- Forrest Gump
- Gladiator
- Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark
- Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
- The King of Comedy
- Modern Romance
- Moon
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- The Raid: Redemption
- Tommy Boy
- Zodiac
How to use this list today
Treat these titles as a record of a July 2024 roundup, not a promise that they are available now. Pluto TV’s current US movies catalog is dynamic and does not verify whether a particular film from the 2024 list remains on the service. Check the catalog or app before planning a viewing.

One film with a source-novel connection
BGR notes that There Will Be Blood is based on Upton Sinclair’s 1927 novel Oil!. The novel is an optional companion for readers interested in the film’s literary source; it is not required to watch the movie.

Why the month and year matter
The title refers specifically to BGR’s June 28, 2024 article and its July picks. Pluto TV’s catalog changes over time, so neither that roundup nor a prior summer promotion establishes what is streaming in another month or year. A Paramount Press Express announcement about its Popcorn Summer Movies program dates to June 2023 and describes a different year’s slate, not the 2024 list.
