PlayStation’s 2024 Wrap-Up was Sony’s personalized year-in-review for eligible PS4 and PS5 players. It launched on December 10, 2024, and closed on January 10, 2025; Sony’s official page now confirms that the experience has finished. It is a historical campaign, not a recap players can open today.
What PlayStation’s 2024 Wrap-Up included
Sony’s recap brought together a player’s gaming activity across 2024. It included most-played games, monthly gaming statistics, a description of the player’s gaming style, and trophy milestones. It also offered personalized recommendations for games in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog.
A historical view showed the total number of games a player had experienced since creating their PlayStation Network account. Sony said the 2024 recap would continue updating through the end of the year.
Players who completed the experience could redeem a PlayStation 30th-anniversary-inspired avatar and a PlayStation Stars digital collectible. They could also share a personalized Wrap-Up summary card. These were campaign rewards, not products that can now be bought to recover a recap.

When it launched and how long it lasted
Sony announced the experience on December 10, 2024, and made it available through January 10, 2025. In the announcement, Sony Interactive Entertainment Content Communication Specialist O’Dell Harmon Jr. wrote: “From today through January 10, 2025, PS4 or PS5 players* can access their PlayStation 2024 Wrap-Up experience to view their gaming achievements, including most played games, a breakdown of monthly gaming stats, gaming style, and more.” Sony’s current Wrap-Up page says the experience has finished.
Who was eligible
Sony’s 2024 terms set out these requirements:
- A PlayStation Network account in the player’s region.
- The player had to be at least 18 years old.
- At least 10 hours of PS4 or PS5 play between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
Data-consent conditions also applied. PS5 players who had not consented to collection of “Full Data” in their console’s 2024 system settings could not participate. On PS4, consent to “Additional Data” was required for players in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australasia, India, and Russia. Sony’s stated PS4 condition applied to those regions, not universally.

Why people compared it with Spotify Wrapped
The comparison is about the format: both services offered a personalized recap of a user’s activity that could be shared. PlayStation summarized gaming; Spotify’s 2024 Wrapped summarized listening. The two recaps were separate services—Sony did not describe its Wrap-Up as a Spotify product or say that the services shared data. Spotify’s description of its own recap is available in its 2024 Wrapped announcement.
That makes “Spotify-esque” a useful shorthand for a shareable, personalized year-in-review, but not evidence that the services were connected or that one copied the other.

Can you access the 2024 recap now?
No. Sony’s campaign ended on January 10, 2025, and its official page says the 2024 experience has finished. Buying a PS4 or PS5, game, controller, or accessory cannot reopen it. The announced avatar and digital collectible were tied to completing the campaign; Sony’s announcement does not establish them as currently obtainable.
