POPline CEO Flávio Saturnino led Estrela da Casa’s “Os mandamentos das redes sociais” workshop on September 4, 2024, offering guidance to artists on building an online presence and making deliberate choices about what they post. His central point: keep music at the heart of an artist’s feed.
What was the Estrela da Casa workshop about?
The September 4, 2024, session was one of Estrela da Casa’s talent workshops. Globo’s retrospective lists Saturnino’s “Redes sociais” session among the program’s workshops, which formed part of its broader mix of musical and performance activities. Globo’s program retrospective and POPline’s event coverage identify Saturnino as the workshop leader.
POPline described the session as “Os mandamentos das redes sociais” (“The commandments of social media”) and reported 11 principles plus a bonus tip for artists seeking a strong digital presence. The coverage presents these as recommendations, not as proven formulas for audience growth or career success.
What social media advice did Saturnino give artists?
Be present across platforms, but choose trends carefully
Saturnino encouraged artists to maintain a presence across social platforms rather than relying on just one. He also cautioned against chasing every trend: an artist’s posts should connect to their real life and point of view, rather than feel like participation for its own sake. Gshow’s account likewise reports advice to be selective about entering public controversies, especially when an artist is not in a position to speak on the issue.

As Gshow quoted him: “Acho importante, quando a gente vai falar sobre redes sociais, a gente entender a importância de estar presente em todas.” (“I think it’s important, when we talk about social media, to understand the importance of being present on all of them.”) Gshow’s workshop report introduces Saturnino as an entrepreneur and communicator.
Think about the public image a post creates
The reported guidance also asks artists to consider how a post may affect their public image. That means weighing whether a trend, comment, or personal update reflects the artist’s perspective and the way they want to be seen, rather than treating every online conversation as an obligation to join.

Make music the protagonist of the feed
Saturnino advised artists to connect social content to their real lives and music, and to focus their energy around release activity. Gshow reported his description of a balanced feed: “O feed perfeito é ter esse equilíbrio, garantindo que a música vai ser a protagonista.” (“The perfect feed has this balance, ensuring that music will be the protagonist.”)
Jota Quest vocalist Rogério Flausino also underscored social media’s broad relevance, saying: “Como vocês já sabem, as redes sociais são uma ferramenta muito importante não só para a gente que é da música, mas para todo mundo.” (“As you already know, social media is a very important tool not only for those of us in music, but for everyone.”) The quotation appears in Gshow’s account.

The accounts document the workshop’s advice and quotations, but do not provide measured outcomes showing that following the recommendations increases engagement, audience size, or career prospects. The guidance is best understood as Saturnino’s approach to artists’ online presence, with music releases and a considered public voice as its organizing ideas.
