SEGA reported that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 won nine awards at The Game Awards 2025, including Game of the Year and Best Score and Music. It received 12 nominations. Could the soundtrack be nominated for a Grammy?
It is a possibility, not a confirmed nomination—or even a confirmed entry. The Recording Academy’s 69th Annual Grammy Awards (2027) includes a category called Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media. The Recording Academy’s category rules describe recognition for composers of new material, with credits that can also include music producers and engineers or mixers. Where multiple composers are listed, the rules include a 33% playing-time threshold. These are general category criteria, not a determination about this particular soundtrack.

What are the Grammy dates and eligibility rules?
The 69th-cycle eligibility period runs from August 31, 2025, through August 28, 2026. The Academy schedule lists November 16, 2026, for the nominee announcement and February 7, 2027, for the ceremony. The 69th Grammy Awards schedule
According to the Academy’s eligibility information, recordings must meet its commercial distribution or qualifying digital-service requirements, have an ISRC or UPC, and be available as a stand-alone purchase or audio-only stream by August 28, 2026. The game’s official soundtrack announcement does not establish all the release details needed to determine eligibility for a specific entry, and it does not confirm that an entry was submitted. The game’s official site announced physical soundtrack preorders on July 24, 2025. It described a deluxe 6LP box, a double-LP edition and an 8CD set containing the original soundtrack and bonus tracks, as well as a digital bonus edition. Composer Lorien Testard said in the announcement, “I’m very happy to announce these Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 physical soundtrack sets.” Official soundtrack announcement
