What Williams’s lawyer said
In an initial statement reported by Us Weekly on November 18, 2025, Habachy said Williams “was verbally assaulted by an irate and unhinged passenger without provocation.” He also said the other passenger made false allegations and that Williams intended to cooperate with law enforcement. These were Habachy’s characterizations, not findings independently established in the reporting.
What happened aboard the flight
News reports placed the incident on November 16, 2025, aboard a Delta flight from Las Vegas to Atlanta, after Williams attended BravoCon. CBS News Atlanta identified the flight as Delta Flight 591.
The accounts of the argument conflict. In body-camera footage described by CBS Atlanta, Williams told officers that the disagreement began when another passenger objected to the sound of Instagram videos playing on Williams’s phone. Williams denied physical contact and described the exchange as verbal. The other passenger alleged that Williams slapped the phone from her hand. The Los Angeles Times reported that Atlanta police said the dispute reportedly escalated into a physical altercation. Those descriptions remain attributed accounts; the reports do not establish either passenger’s version as a final finding.

Delta reportedly confirmed an incident and said crew members spoke with both passengers. The flight continued to Atlanta and landed without further reported issues, according to CBS Atlanta’s coverage.

Early reports said FBI Atlanta was aware of the incident but had not determined whether federal charges would apply. Us Weekly quoted an FBI Atlanta spokesperson as saying, “It is unknown at this time if federal charges will apply. That is all we have at the moment.” The Los Angeles Times reported that Atlanta police forwarded witness and victim statements to the FBI.

In a later statement reported by CBS News Atlanta, updated November 23, 2025, Habachy said the U.S. Attorney’s Office had determined “no crime has been committed” and that the FBI “will not pursue any further investigative actions regarding this matter.” The reported closure came through Williams’s lawyer; the cited coverage did not provide a direct public statement from either agency confirming it.
