In April 2023, Ree Drummond shared a photo with her son Bryce in his new Oklahoma State football uniform and congratulated him after his transfer from the University of North Texas. The report documented the photo and her message, but did not identify where the visit took place.
What Ree shared after Bryce transferred
According to People’s April 2023 report, Drummond posted a photo with Bryce wearing his Oklahoma State uniform. She celebrated his move in a comment: “Go Pokes!! 🙌 So proud of you, son!!” The same report quoted Bryce’s caption about the uniform: “Spring uniform is lookin a little different this time around.” Both remarks were shared through Instagram posts or comments, not given as interview quotes.
Bryce’s path from North Texas to Oklahoma State
Bryce began college at the University of North Texas in January 2021 after graduating from high school a semester early and joining its football program, according to Ree Drummond’s lifestyle site. By April 2023, he had transferred to Oklahoma State University.
Keep the separate visits straight
The April 2023 transfer-era photo is distinct from other reported visits. In September 2022, Drummond visited Bryce at North Texas for a football game, according to contemporaneous coverage. In June 2023, after his move to Oklahoma State, she visited him again and took him shopping for apartment supplies, as a later report described. Those visits should not be mistaken for the April photo story.

#1 Best Overall
- IMPACT REDUCTION | The Guardian Cap Football Helmet Cover is a padded, soft-shell layer that is worn on the outside of your hard-shell helmet to reduce impact of daily hits. Also pads blows to knees, abdomen and other body parts during inside run and position drills. DOES NOT INCLUDE HELMET & VISOR
- ONE SIZE FITS ALL | These padded covers will fit all youth & adult football and lacrosse helmets. Guardian Caps Helmet Covers are used by youth, high school, college, and Pro teams to reduce the impact of blows during practice and games. The Cap does not affect the integrity of the helmet and is easy on and off, attaching to itself.
- INSULATING COMFORT | The soft padding of the cap also reduces radiant heat up to 20° F, keeping players cooler during hot practices. This insulation also dampens sound waves and vibrations, removing the loud "crack" of the helmet during impact.
- SMART DESIGN | Guardian Caps are made to slide off of each other. The fabric has a lower coefficient of friction than the polycarbonate helmet shells and does not grip when hit. The helmet pads are designed to move independently, shifting at impact to redirect energy. They also reduce wear and tear and preserve the paint and decals of the helmets, so they always look great on game days!
- DISCLAIMER WARNING | No helmet, headgear, or chinstrap can prevent concussions or serious head injuries. Researchers disagree on how impact test results relate to injuries. No conclusions should be drawn about risk reduction from these tests. All headgear and chinstraps must be used with properly fitted, maintained helmets.
