He also said he would turn up and do the best he could. He ultimately performed at Villa Park in Birmingham, first solo and then with Black Sabbath. This is a look back at what he said before that show: the Osbourne family announced his death on July 22, 2025.
What Ozzy Osbourne said about his health
His February 2025 comments
On February 7, 2025, The Independent reported comments Osbourne had made on his SiriusXM radio show. He said, “I have made it to 2025. I can’t walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I’m still alive.”
In the same report, Sharon Osbourne told The Sun that Parkinson’s had affected his legs. “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilise. It affects different parts of the body and it’s affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it’s ever been,” she said. These were statements by the Osbournes, not an independent clinical assessment of his condition.
His May update
In an interview published May 1, 2025, The Guardian reported that Osbourne was exercising at home with a trainer, doing weights and riding a stationary bike. He also said a vocal coach visited four days a week.
