Noah Wyle won Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for The Pitt at the 32nd Annual Actor Awards on March 1, 2026. The series also won the drama ensemble award, beating a nominee field that included Taylor Sheridan’s Landman. Those were separate awards: Landman was not a contender in Wyle’s individual category.
What Noah Wyle won
Wyle received the Actor Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series for his work on The Pitt. His competition in that category included Sterling K. Brown (Paradise), Billy Crudup (The Morning Show), Walton Goggins (The White Lotus) and Gary Oldman (Slow Horses), according to the official Actor Awards recipient and nominee listing.

The award recognized work from the eligibility period of January 1 through December 31, 2025. SAG-AFTRA announced the nominees on January 7, 2026; final voting opened January 14 to more than 118,000 members in good standing and closed February 27. The 32nd ceremony took place March 1, 2026, according to SAG-AFTRA’s announcement.
How ‘The Pitt’ beat ‘Landman’
The Pitt separately won Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Landman was among the nominees in that ensemble category, alongside The Diplomat, Severance and The White Lotus. That is the result behind the “beats Landman” framing: the shows competed for the series ensemble trophy, not Wyle’s individual acting award.

The distinction matters because ensemble recognition is awarded to a series cast, while Wyle’s award recognized an individual performer. At the same ceremony, The Pitt took the ensemble honor and Wyle took the male actor honor.
Where the win fits in Wyle and ‘The Pitt’s’ award run
The Actor Award followed Wyle’s 2025 Emmy win for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for The Pitt. The Television Academy also lists him as an executive producer on the series, which won the 2025 Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series. These are separate awards from separate organizations and years; the Emmy result is context for the show’s momentum, not part of the Actor Awards tally. Rank #2
At the 2026 Astra TV Awards, the Hollywood Creative Alliance also named Wyle drama actor winner and The Pitt the drama series and streaming drama ensemble winner. Billy Bob Thornton of Landman was among the Astra drama actor nominees. Those Astra results belong to a distinct ceremony and category set, not the Actor Awards. The Hollywood Creative Alliance published the results in its 2026 Astra TV Awards announcement.

SAG-AFTRA said the 2026 eligibility window covered performances from January through December 2025. Two nominating panels, each made up of 2,500 randomly selected members from across the United States, selected nominees. Final voting was open to more than 118,000 SAG-AFTRA members in good standing. The organization said its official election firm, Integrity Voting Systems, sealed the results until they were announced live at the ceremony.
