Las órdenes de alejamiento de Nikki García y Artem Chigvintsev se reportaron en octubre de 2024, después de que ambos presentaran versiones enfrentadas sobre un incidente doméstico. No deben interpretarse como vigentes hoy: en diciembre de 2024, ABC News informó que habían resuelto el divorcio y retirado sus respectivas órdenes de violencia doméstica.
Qué se sabe y qué no quedó establecido
La cobertura periodística recogió acusaciones mutuas relacionadas con un incidente ocurrido en agosto de 2024, el arresto de Chigvintsev y solicitudes de órdenes de protección. Las fuentes citadas no documentan una determinación judicial sobre quién inició la violencia. Por eso, las versiones deben atribuirse a cada parte y no presentarse como hechos probados.

- 4 de octubre de 2024: People en Español informó que ambos tenían órdenes de alejamiento después de acusarse mutuamente de agresión. Ese día, Us Weekly en Español reportó detalles de la orden temporal solicitada por García.
- Noviembre de 2024: una representante de García dijo, según ABC News, que la pareja había resuelto el divorcio y que ambas partes retirarían sus órdenes de violencia doméstica.
Las versiones atribuidas a cada parte
People en Español atribuyó a García la afirmación de que Chigvintsev la empujó y la tiró al suelo del baño. Según ese medio, ella dijo que lo agarró del cuello para defenderse y quitárselo de encima. La misma publicación recogió la versión de Chigvintsev, quien sostuvo que García había sido la agresora y ofreció su explicación de la discusión. Son relatos contrapuestos, no una conclusión judicial establecida por las fuentes consultadas.
Us Weekly en Español también resumió alegaciones incluidas en las solicitudes de restricción y citó a un representante de García sobre el motivo de pedir una orden temporal. Esas declaraciones deben entenderse como alegaciones y como la postura de una parte o su representante.

Qué restricciones se reportaron en octubre de 2024
Us Weekly informó que la orden temporal de García impedía a Chigvintsev acercarse a menos de 100 yardas o ponerse en contacto con ella. La publicación indicó además que las visitas o los intercambios relacionados con su hijo debían seguir las instrucciones del tribunal. Esos términos describen lo reportado durante el litigio en octubre de 2024; no establecen las condiciones de acuerdos posteriores ni confirman el estado actual de un expediente judicial.
Qué ocurrió después con las órdenes
ABC News informó en diciembre de 2024 que la pareja había resuelto el divorcio y que ambas partes retiraron sus órdenes de violencia doméstica. El medio reprodujo esta declaración de una representante de García: “Both parties decided to drop the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively coparent their son.” La frase corresponde a la representante citada por ABC News, no a una jueza ni al texto de una sentencia.
