Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, on July 7, 2008. ABC News reported the announcement the following day, so this is an archived birth announcement—not breaking news.
Who is Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s daughter?
The baby was named Sunday Rose. ABC News reported that Kidman gave birth in the United States on Monday morning, July 7, 2008. Her agent, Allen Eichhorn, announced the birth in a statement: “Nicole and Keith Urban are delighted to announce that Nicole Kidman gave birth to a baby girl on Monday morning, July 7, 2008 in the United States,” he said. The report said Sunday Rose weighed six pounds, seven-and-a-half ounces (2.9 kilograms), and that mother and baby were well. ABC News / AFP reported the announcement on July 8, 2008.
Was Sunday Rose their only daughter?
No. Kidman and Urban later announced the birth of a second daughter, Faith Margaret, in January 2011. ABC News reported that Faith was born on December 28, 2010, via a surrogate. This was a separate birth and announcement from Sunday Rose’s. ABC News covered Faith Margaret’s birth on January 18, 2011.
Why is this headline appearing as archived news?
The headline refers to the 2008 birth, not a new announcement. For present-day context, the Associated Press reported that a Nashville judge finalized Kidman and Urban’s divorce on January 6, 2026, after 19 years of marriage. The Associated Press reported the divorce finalization that day.
