What “Big Foot” is—and when it came out
“Big Foot” is a Nicki Minaj single released on January 29, 2024. The FADER reported its release and linked to the official audio. The FADER’s release report identifies the track as a diss aimed at Megan Thee Stallion.
Why Minaj released it after “HISS”
Megan released “HISS” shortly before “Big Foot.” In the ensuing public reaction, many listeners interpreted “HISS”’s reference to “Megan’s Law” as a jab at Kenneth Petty, Minaj’s husband. That interpretation was reported by contemporary coverage; Megan did not confirm in the sources cited here that the line was aimed at Minaj or Petty. TIME’s account of the “Big Foot” backstory describes the interpretation and the sequence leading to Minaj’s response. The Washington Post’s account also places Minaj’s social-media reaction before the track’s release.
What is known about their history
Minaj and Megan previously collaborated on “Hot Girl Summer” in 2019. Reports describe earlier speculation about tension between the artists, but the sources do not establish one definitive origin for the feud. The Independent’s timeline summarizes the publicly reported sequence. Fan theories about how the conflict began should not be treated as confirmed chronology.
