When did Season 28 premiere?
NBC scheduled the premiere for Monday, September 22, 2025. Peacock described the opening episode as the first night of Blind Auditions. NBC’s fall schedule also listed The Voice on September 23.
How could viewers watch the season?
The published viewing plan was to watch the original broadcast on NBC or stream new episodes on Peacock the day after their NBC broadcast. That announcement describes the plan at the time; it does not establish whether Season 28 episodes are currently available, or their present availability by location. Check Peacock’s current listing for details.

What was the Carson Callback?
NBC announced a new feature called the Carson Callback, giving host Carson Daly a role in determining which artists advanced. In a Season 28 sneak peek, Daly said: “Sometimes I see great singers fall through the cracks,” adding that he had “never been able to do anything about it – until now.” NBC’s September 2025 announcement said the exact rule details had not yet been revealed, so that announcement alone does not explain how the Callback worked in the aired episodes.
What were the competition rounds?
Peacock’s guide listed five rounds for Season 28:
